Elders

Scott McGrady became our pastor on June 1, 2017. He is a graduate of Lancaster Bible College and Baptist Bible Seminary. He first entered pastoral ministry in 2008. Scott also served as a fire chaplain from 2009 until 2017. He and his wife, Suzanne, are both originally from the Wilkes-Barre area (PA). They were married in 2008, and have been blessed with two children. Scott enjoys fishing, baseball, hockey, and reading.

Nathan Penley has lived in NorthEast PA since 2003, when he began attending Baptist Bible College. During his time at the school he became a founding member of North Valley Baptist Church, when it first began as a church plant, and after nearly 20 years of ministry, serving at the same church, he answered the call to eldership in the spring of 2024. Nathan has been married to his wife Jenna since 2008 and has been blessed with four children.

Brad Tarr was raised in Northeast PA and works at Tobyhannah Army Depot. He and his wife, Elizabeth, have been married for 11 years and have been members of North Valley since 2022. In his free time, Brad enjoys the outdoors, spending time with family, and cheering for his favorite football teams.
